Several things cause anxiety: stress, genetics, brains traumatic events and environmental factors. Anti-anxiety medication can reduce these symptoms. However, even when on medication, people still undergo some anxiety or panic attacks. The best medication involves medication and therapy.

Anxiety is usually triggered by an event or a thought. They provoke an anxious response. Nevertheless, several individuals don’t know their triggers and say that they become anxious for no reason.

Our anxiety or fear evolved to move us into lifesaving action. We experience conflicts that are not life-threatening in the current world. Nevertheless, our nervous system doesn’t know this and so we react to life-threatening conflicts differently. Know that anxiety can also lead to confusion or disassociation.

It’s time to get help once you’ve noticed a mental issue such as anxiety which can easily disrupt your daily activities. More so if the symptoms cause you a lot of distress and worry, seek medical attention before it gets worse.

Several mental disorders exist on a spectrum. Some individuals experience less severe symptoms and respond well to outpatient services. But for others, they will need intensive care to recover. Residential treatment could be the best option if you’ve tried outpatient therapy and didn’t work.

  • Feeling like you can’t handle stress
  • Worrying too much about things

Anxiety occurs with at least three of these symptoms:
